    WE celebrated all the Good Spirits of Norman and Oklahoma!
    We are grateful for their gifts and dedication to community.

    2013 NMGP King and Queen, NPD Chief Keith Humphrey and
    his wife Pam Humphrey, were selected for their dedication to community and support for     Women's Resource Center to prevent and end domestic violence. 
    Vive Le Bon Esprit!

    Grand Duchess,     Fran Thomas, joined the royal parade -
    she is the     2012 Ms. American Elegance Sophisticate. Fran Thomas is truly an example of determination and grace. She has defied odds throughout her life and continues to inspire us.  Fran is the 2012 Sooner Legends Norman Idol Winner!
    She sings country music impeccably and is the 2012 Sooner Legends Norman Idol winner!  She has performed the National Anthem over 400 times
    in as many as 20 states,
    some would never know that she grew up with a speech impediment. Which she has used as a positive tool to helped others with similar disabilities.

    The 19th Annual Norman Mardi Gras Parade 2013
    was quite the Cool Breeze!

    20/29 entries, 250 +/- paticipants, some 1000+ spectators on
    Main, and 20 doggiegras bundled up and braved the chilly mist
    in Downtown Norman Feb. 9th. 
     
    Participants kept warm at the Performing Arts Studio/Santa Fe Depot with Zydeco Allstars - Victor Rook, Armando Rivera, David Short, TZ Wright, Steve Murphy,
    Jahruba Lambeth and more, including DA Gumboman's Gumbo and Jambalaya. 
     
     
    Carnevolve led the way with Onery Okie Youth .
    We are grateful so many joined the fun downtown, including the King and Queen
    Our community driven NPD Chief Kieth Humphrey and his wife, Pam.
    Our lovely and gracious Grand Duchess, Fran Thomas, Sooner Legends' Norman Idol winner, added a special touch with love from OKC.

Parade Route

We run in circles! NMGP starts from Jones at Main,
East to Crawford, Commanche,
then Jones...circles twice


Parades move...so there is no actual address... Check in will be at the Santa Fe Depot 200 S. Jones Avenue, Norman, OK 73069.   Prime viewing indoors and out along Main St. from Jones to Crawford at the Judges Station at Crawford and E. Main St.  

We recommend spectator parking  one block north of Main, off Jones, Peters, Gray and Crawford near the Gray Owl Coffee Shop 223 E. Gray. Main street will close from 6:30 to 8:30 . Enter Gray Street from Porter.

Participants should park off Commanche in bank parking lots.
